Liquid Democracy

What are you waiting for?!

For better viewing, orient your phone to landscape.

136 years ago, it made sense to simply choose someone from the community, and send them off to the capital to represent us.

The world is a VERY different place now, but like frogs being boiled, we persist in using a democratic process that is obsolete and dysfunctional.

People are NOT as polarized as it seems.

polarized discussion 6 - 9 Imagine

Imagine people having rational discussions, and discovering the breadth of their common interests.

**************************

Imagine being involved on whatever issue(s) you want, to whatever extent you want.

**************************

Imagine having REAL influence.

**************************

Imagine it being simple and convenient to provide your perspectives.

**************************

With issues that you don't want to be directly involved with, imagine a simple way for each of us to delegate our participation and our final vote to whomever we want, on an issue by issue bases. (Or delegate sets of issues to certain people, or delegate everything to one person that is trusted.)

**************************

Imagine being able to instantly retract or reassign your delegation(s).

**************************

Imagine leaders (with a completely different character set, and a refreshingly different approach, from what we have now) rising to the top by demonstrating their abilities and goodness.

**************************

Imagine authority being earned, based on virtue and talents.

Liquid Democracy provides a simple, convenient, and efficient way for people to collaborate.  The process naturally minimizes polarization, so productivity and throughput will be greatly increased.

With Liquid Democracy, things are done out front and in the open, so “backroom deals” will be a thing of the past.

Efficiently harnessing the time and energy of many people, Liquid Democracy will dramatically increase the scrutiny of things, and dramatically increase innovation and progress.

With Liquid Democracy in place, mudslinging between political parties will have no value, and will disappear.  Playing fast and loose with the facts, and cherry picking experts, will also no longer be effective, so politicians and political parties will gradually stop doing it.

FANTASTIC VIDEO CLIP, Justin Trudeau's half brother, Kyle Kemper, speaks passionately about democracy being broken, ZERO accountability, and the need for Liquid Democracy.
